Welcome to Nu Beta!
Letter from
Our President
Welcome to the website of Alpha Omicron Pi – Nu Beta at Ole Miss!
We could not be more
excited that you are here! No matter who you are or your reason for visiting our website, we
invite you to take a deeper look into our sisterhood and better understand its importance to us.
Learn all about the experiences we share, the values we hold close to us, and the opportunities
that are brought forth through our chapter.
Nu Beta is filled with some of the most outstanding women our campus has to offer. As a whole
we hold the core values of character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty very near to our
hearts. These are the values that we were founded on and continue to lead and guide us in many
aspects today. We are pushed to use these as the foundation for our individual lives, to live with
purpose and lead within our chapter, campus, and community in a manner that reflects a life of
positivity, passion, and kindness.
Individually, our women are involved in a plethora of organizations on an off campus including
the Sally McDonnel Barksdale Honors College, The Croft Institute for International Studies, Lott
Leadership Institute, Ole Miss Ambassadors, Orientation Leaders, Ole Miss Women’s Council,
and many more! We pride ourselves in our chapters willingness to go beyond what is asked of
them and how they represent AOII in multiple leadership roles across campus.
Beyond campus involvement, Nu Beta is extremely dedicated to philanthropic efforts in a
multitude of ways. Not only do our members support our National Philanthropy, The Arthritis
Foundation, they also support many personal philanthropies brought forth by our members. As a
chapter we also support campus wide organizations such as Rebelthon (supporting Blair E.
Batson Children’s Hospital), and CASA of North America.
However, none of this would exist without the sisterhood we share. Sisterhood means something
different to each of us but the bond we have is the same. Experiences we share, memories we
make, joy and laughter that is shared amongst us, and lifelong friendships all help build our
sisterhood up and bring us closer together.
Serving as Chapter President for Nu Beta is something I am incredibly honored to do. For me, no
place on our campus fosters more love, kindness, loyalty, and genuine friendship than our
sisterhood – beyond just the physical walls of our home. What I have found in Alpha Omicron Pi
is incomparable and I count it as a blessing to get to watch the women of our chapter grow, love,
learn and succeed in all aspects of life.
“Ole Miss is more than just a place. It is where our dreams are born and our legacies begin…”
-Chancellor Glenn Boyce.
